It’s the way they’re made. We’ve developed Continuous Fiber, an automated golf shaft manufacturing process that allows us to offer golfers a more precise, higher-performing product.

With our technology, we can produce a consistent golf shaft each and every time. When golfers purchase a TPT shaft, they can know that it will feel and perform exactly the same as the shaft they used in their fitting.

With a properly fit TPT shaft, golfers are going to contact the sweet spot more often due to its more axially consistent design. They will also likely swing our shafts faster because of their optimized bend profiles. It’s this combination of more consistent impacts and our optimized bending profiles that results in significant distance gains and a tighter dispersion.

In fittings around the world, TPT shafts have proven to provide golfers of all abilities with additional club head speed and ball speed.

All of our shafts have the same MSRP of $600 (USD). TPT shafts are available around the world and pricing varies slightly by country depending on things like taxes and exchange rates.

Because we don’t pay golfers to use TPT shafts, we can’t always use their names to promote our company. What we can say is TPT shafts have been used by major championship winners and many of the world’s best golfers to earn victories on major tours across the world.

Our parent company, NTPT, is a Switzerland-based technology and composites firm that develops cutting-edge materials. Its track record includes developing performance-enhancing applications for the America’s Cup and Formula 1 Racing. The record-breaking, solar-powered aircraft “Solar Impulse” relied on NTPT-produced materials for its epic journey, and NTPT also creates the luxury watch cases for Richard Mille.

In 2014, we were looking for a new opportunity and saw it in the golf industry. At first, we thought it would be as a wholesaler of Thin-Ply Technology, our higher-quality carbon fiber golf shaft material. When we were told our materials were too expensive, we took a deeper look into the space. We realized that we had an opportunity to create a higher-performing golf shaft.

Since that time, we’ve built a new golf shaft manufacturing method from the ground up, integrating the successful technologies NTPT developed with golf-shaft specific innovations we created along the way. With Continuous Fiber, our automated golf shaft manufacturing method, we have been able to overcome the inconsistencies of conventional graphite shafts that have been plaguing golfers for decades.

We use the best carbon fiber available to create our shafts. Each of our shafts incorporates either high modulus or ultra-high modulus PAN fibers in their design.

FITTING

TPT shafts are not sold online. Being properly fit is crucial to optimizing the performance of a TPT shaft. After a fitting, most golfers find that the best TPT shaft for their game is a different model than they anticipated.

Golfers can purchase TPT shafts through our network of more than 175 Authorized Fitters worldwide.

The heaviest TPT Driver shaft weighs 84 grams (14 Lo). The lightest TPT Driver shaft weighs 45 grams (21 Hi). Weight is an important consideration when choosing a new driver shaft, but remember that it is simply one factor that affects the way a shaft feels and performs.

Red Range Driver Shafts are offered in 14 different profiles, each of which is created with a specific torque value to precisely match its bend profile. The goal of every shaft design was to offer a low-torque profile that offered benefits to the target golfer.

Keep in mind that there’s no standard way to measure golf shaft torque. Our method involves measuring the torque of the entire length of a shaft with a 1-inch clamp at the tip.

Our shafts are not considered “counterbalanced.” Their balance points are around 49 percent from the tip.

It’s not necessary. Our automated manufacturing process yields ultra-consistent, seamless shafts with no measurable performance difference at any orientation.

TPT shafts are available with two different bend profiles:

  • Hi: Encourages a higher ball flight
  • Lo: Encourages a lower ball flight

The Hi shafts are created with a lower kickpoint to increase launch and spin, while the Lo shafts a created with a higher kickpoint that reduces launch and spin.

Feel is a difficult parameter to measure, however, the vast majority of golfers who are fit for TPT shafts report that our shafts feel “solid” and “stable.”

Tipping is an option (1 inch max), however, most tour players have optimized their performance without needing to tip a TPT shaft.

We’re constantly looking to improve our designs and processes to provide golfers with the best possible performance. One of the ways we do this is through testing on the PGA Tour and other professional tours, where we’re in the process of validating new prototype shaft designs.

All TPT shafts used on the professional golf tours are created with the same materials and technologies as the shafts we sell through our Authorized Fitter Network around the world. If successful, TPT will make these prototype shafts available to golfers through our network of Authorized Fitters.

We’re working on a variety of new prototype shafts. Once these shafts are perfected by our engineers and validated on the professional tours, they will become available through our network of Authorized Fitters.
