Fine-tune your flex, master your flight

Tip Trimming

The following tip trimming instructions are provided as general guidelines. In the case of TPT shafts, trimming can influence the shaft’s flex and performance, so we recommend consulting with your custom fitter or club-builder to determine the best approach based on your unique swing and desired outcomes.

For TPT shafts, tip trimming can be used to achieve a stiffer shaft profile, lower launch, and/or lower spin. For instance, if you have a 17 Hi shaft and trim it by 1″, you will effectively create a 16.5 Hi shaft.

Always consider the specific characteristics of TPT shafts when making adjustments, and for the best results, consult with a certified TPT fitter.

Shaft Sanding

TPT shafts have a very thin layer of coating because, for us, this is about graphite and performance, not paint.

Please hand-sand the shafts carefully to avoid exposing the graphite, as this could affect shaft durability.
